Volunteer Opportunities

• Happy Hearts Working, Inc. is a nonprofit organization for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, providing skill-building opportunities and hope for successful, joyful days for our Associates, shared together with others! • Vaughn Trent Community Services Inc. is a social services agency that serves residents of USD #204 (Bonner Springs & Edwardsville). They provide emergency assistance including food pantries and utility assistance to those who live in the USD #204 school district.  If you would like more information on volunteering, call 913-441-0461.
• Feed His Lambs is a local non-profit ministry that provides a weekly meal to residents of Bonner Springs and Edwardsville who are food insecure. Feed his Lambs assigns a week to each volunteer to make deliveries on Fridays.  Currently, they are in need of volunteers on the second and third-week deliveries. Volunteer activities on these two Thursday evenings (6-8pm at the Bonner Springs Methodist Church) include packaging salads, fruits, and cookies; helping cook the casserole for the week; filling and attaching lids on the casserole pans. Individual meals are assembled at this time also. Delivery teams are also needed to deliver the meals on late Friday afternoon. Pickup of meals is between 4:30 and 5pm. Feed His Lamb uses Sign Up Genius to schedule/sign-up volunteers. Contact Deanna Delladio (our Volunteer Coordinator) to help sign you up. Feed His Lambs is also looking for a group of 10 or more people to prepare and assemble the second week’s meals.
